Frequently Asked Questions

We have limited availability for each Tour Taster so although we will do our best to accommodate your team’s wishes, the earlier you let us know, the better. The best way to ensure that the team gets to cycle the Tour Taster of their choice (all together or on different Tasters) is to buy one of the guaranteed advance TT places. For more information, contact

Not everyone in a team needs to take part in the same Tour Taster. Sometimes cycling strength or family/work commitments mean that teams choose to cycle different Tour Tasters – often overlapping. This is no problem at all

Yes, but only subject to availability! Lifer places (max 40) are released immediately after the preceding year’s tour and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

It’s up to you how you choose to fundraise. Either you can take on the usual Tour de Force individual fundraising targets or we can make a team target for everyone to aim to together. We will discuss this with you more during the sign up process

After the Tour de Force has finished, we release places for the next year. 40 Lifer places and 60 advance Tour Taster places are available to individuals and teams.

We strongly advise teams to buy advance Tour Taster places as soon as you have decided to cycle so as to guarantee the place of your choice once the route is released.

For more information on these team places, please phone us for a chat.

“… a job needs to be about more than just roles – it’s about meeting people, experiencing new things and personal growth. The Tour de Force provided all of this and more. It gave the individuals and the business great memories and far greater character. Relationships within the business are stronger, mutual and self-respect have been enhanced and life is more fun.” Tom Hall – Team Alitex

“We had a superb time on our Pyrenean adventure. We cycled the Tour de Force for 3 days – for us the teamwork and camaraderie built in the months before we rode and Tea Alitex at feed stop 1. All present and correctthe shared experience is one that will never leave those who were on the team – we shared something special, there will always be a knowing nod that we did something different and special together. In fact we can’t wait to do it again.” – Hugo Raymond – Team Aon

“All of us had the experience of a lifetime … Why is the Tour de Force a good event for corporate teams? The answer is simple: it is just a wonderful way of team building.

The whole ethos of the Tour de Force is about supporting your fellow rider. Everyone is a different standard and everyone has times when they find it tough. To take on this challenge as a team gives an even greater sense of achievement. The satisfaction of colleagues achieving something they thought out of their league is just enormous.

OPTA Corporate TeamWhy the Tour de Force rather than other team building events? Firstly, whilst the challenge is undoubtedly tough, it is achievable by anyone who is reasonably fit. Secondly, the event is superbly organised and managed and it is at a human scale. Lastly, the charity is personal; you will get to know the family who set it up and the beneficiaries of the money raised. It is a very special event.” – David Johnson – Team Opta
